Qn: Who is Jkg selecta?
Jkg: jkg is a three digit name meaning JOHN KAKUURU Gerald. Though, iam Ahimbisibwe Jerald by real names. Am a professional dj stationed in ibanda.
Qn: How has ben your deejaying life; how did you join deejaying?
Jkg: I grew up with love for music . after my highschool I had freedom to do what I like at college and I started partnering with deejays from Mbarara and ibanda.
Qn: what inspired to join this field?
Jkg: The love I had for music. I wanted to try singing but I couldn’t raise production funds though I had written some songs. I thought deejaying could make me the real I wanted to be in singing and am happy with this.
Qn: so which places have you deejayed at so far?
Jkg: I started working with exodus sounds in Mbarara, I broke off for a media course at Alliance vocational school. Grew up partnering with local djs like Giftology, dj sauti, dj western . I joined Rwenzori fm buh now am free up for grabs.
Qn: Have you earned anything yet?
Jkg: Something atleast. I earn little to push my daily lifecoz I do on parties and functions.
Qn: which challenges have you met so far in this line of work?
Jkg: Equipments is the biggest challenge. Music gadgets are epensive especially to we third class djs. Competition also a challenge, djs are increasing everyday on.
Qn: Do we have professional djs in Ibanda?

Jkg: I know VX dj, and this selecta danno.

Qn: Give three reasons why someone else out th

ere should hire or employ you?
Jkg: I believe in my self, (believing in your self makes others believe in you). Iam current, there are fans who follow trends and they need newly produced jams. Not every dj considers that. I play according to categories of people and the event. You cant play bruk it down of mr vegas to old people.
Qn: hows your normal day like?
Jkg: I wake up at 7, pray. Shower  take breakfast. Visit social media , talk to friends. Get some rest in the noon and chill in the evenings. Then some work outta fi clubs.
Qn: explain your fashion of dressing and lifestyle.
Jkg: I dress according to the event. I dress churchway in the church, party way in the party. The day judges my style.
Qn: which type of music do u like working on?
Jkg: the music on the knob apparently “baxraggae”. Then dancehall makes me know the limits of my scratching.
Qn: besides deejaying, what else are u skilled at?
Jkg: iam experienced In videography and photography. I shoot videos, take photos and do editing. Iam also a music promoter at times.
Qn: who inspires your deejaying?
Jkg: Dj Lyta of Kenya and Ugandan dj danno. I grew upyearning to be a danno type. Am away from international djs..
Qn: what is that best moment and worst moment in your deejaying life?
Jkg: I remember at a certain party, I just entered. Unwillingly people were like where is that dj from, not untili played my effect “konka jay kay G” and every one was happy.
Just as I was at Alliance voc on a talent show, I just came in with little music on a flash disc and found the computer had  nothing like a song. I toiled using the little I had.
Qn: Hows your love life?
Jkg: Iam not married but a social. Iam still young though, I go away from relationship stresses.
Qn: what else do you do besides deejaying, videography and photography?
Jkg: Iam a student. When am not at school I check on friends and have fun.
Qn: which advise do you give to young deejays?
Jkg: They should learn to satisfy people they serve music. Mind on the environment and being current.
Qn: which gadgets do you use?
Jkg: I love Samsung. I believe it makes my things the way I a want them in.
Qn: Your final words.
Jkg: I love my fans. They should not force themselves to things, “what is is, what is not is not”. Iam jkg selecta.
