The profile behind Mr jay, RTA best male radio presenter award winner 2016.


Musasizi Jason also known as Mr jay is radio presenter stationed in Kamwenge, Uganda. He currently works as a show host/presenter, productions manager, Music Director and social media guru at Kamwenge based radio station, 87.9 voice of Kamwenge FM. An accomplished Radio show host Mr jay has won many awards and is the reigning Radio Personality of the Year in Rwenzori region. He is the recipient of best male radio presenter (RTA) and is in the race of best male radio presenter (RTA) individually. Not forgetting that his Kabuga express show faced a double nomination in the best Rwenzori teen’s awards under best teens show and best evening show categories.

Thou being an achiever, jays’ top 20 countdown show lost in same awards as the best teens show in 2016.
Mr Jay was born in Uganda; he has worked at the station since 2013. After doing his internship at Voice of Kamwenge he was retained to the station because of his competence.
“I felt like the radio believed in me. I felt good being retained” Jay says in a conversation with Mr vybs.
In 2015 Mr. Jay was made a production manager for the radio.
Currently, Mr. Jay is not only the productions manager at voice of Kamwenge FM but also hosts shows on weekdays and weekends. First, he hosts Kabuga express, a drive show that airs every Monday to Friday, 4pm to 8pm (probably the show people love the most), then weekly top20 countdown, a show where jams are played from 20 to number one basing on most requested songs on Voice of Kamwenge radio. It airs on Saturdays 3pm to 5pm. He also hosts the Youth chat and this one airs every Sunday, from 2pm to 4pm.
 His mass-communication prowess and popularity makes him the most suitable choice and emcee at functions, parties and concerts. Mr jay attended to Nyabbani primary school and Rutoma primary schools for primary Nyakasura school for Olevel, Valley college for A level. He attended for a bachelor’s degree at Ndejje university and he graduated in 2012 with a second class upper.
Jason is a son to Canon Caleb Ahimbisibwe and Meble Ahimbisibwe of Rwenkubebe-Nyabbani in Kitagwenda Kamwenge district. Caleb is a reverend canon and the mother a head teacher at Rutoma K primary school in Kitagwenda.
Jay is married to Ndito Edith blessed with 2 kids
