Eminem attacks NRA at iHeart Radio Awards! Eminem killed it sunday night
at the iHeartRadio Music Awards with Kehlani, performing "Nowhere Fast" a
track from his latest album 'Revival' that features lyrics regarding
the current state of the country and slamming the NRA. Eminem took the
opportunity to bring awareness to gun control, calling out the National
Rifle Association (NRA) who sued the state of Florida for passing a gun
control law in the wake of a school
shooting that left 17 people dead. While performing his track Nowhere
Fast, with Kehlani, Marshall opened with a special extra verse: “This
whole country is going nuts / And the NRA is in our way / They’re
responsible for this whole production/ They hold the strings, they
control the puppet.” It was most appropriate that a Parkland shooting
survivor Alex Moscou introduced the rap God, together with fellow
Detroit rapper Big Sean. Moscou touched the hearts of the live audience,
saying, "On February 14th, a gunman armed with a legally purchased
semi-automatic rifle murdered 17 people at my high school, Marjory
Stoneman Douglas in Parkland, Florida. We're tired of hearing
politicians send their thoughts and prayers to us and doing nothing to
make the necessary changes to prevent this tragedy from happening
again." Eminem took to Instagram later to say that he was inspired and
honored by Moscou's introduction, and directly quoting part of the
student's words. Em's captions reads, "#NOWHEREFAST @KEHLANI #IHEARTAWARDS "We are going to be too loud for them to ignore” - Alex Moscou."
